False Reality - End Of Eternity

After releasing the EP “Tales Of Eternity” in 2002, Romanian False Reality return now with their debut full length “End Of Eternity”. After a promising beginning to their career, the band had an eight years hiatus until it presented the new line-up that lead to this release. Fourteen years it’s a long time between releases but if the result is this good than it’s worth waiting for.

Lately I’ve been having the chance to listen to some good works around melodic death metal, both nationally and internationally and I must say that this new bet from Loud Rage Music once again proved to be right because this work is undoubtedly well achieved. The way the band mixes black sonorities such as doom and black with the magic of progressive, without losing its focus on the melody and, better yet, maintaining the album cohesive in its whole without sounding incoherent in all 7 tracks it’s simply majestic. As if it didn’t suffice, somewhere in the middle they can still fit an arabesque sonority which gives some color to the track without detracting it from the alignment. With lyrics approaching sad topics like death, loneliness, pain and others, the use of clean voice and a progressive approach keeps the song in a dark aura yet keeping her away from depression; an example of that it’s a clean voice before the guitar solo reminding blues in track “Rapture And Pain”, followed by a more black/death pace.

Such a long pause between releases can make a huge difference to a ban regarding its projection but in this case this gent’s response was appropriate, with an excellent work that will surely grant them good results. Let’s just hope they won’t take so long creating a sophomore.
