Hoje em dia as bandas tentam reinventar-se ou simplesmente procurar novas sonoridades de modo a sobressair na cena, outras há que combinam diversos sub-géneros por forma a captar fãs diversos, mas por vezes a melhor solução passa mesmo por manter as coisas simples. E se a isso juntarmos músicos com experiência, o resultado só pode ser um: Hell In The Club.
O quarteto Italiano que conta com o baixista dos Secret Sphere Andrea Buratto para dar corpo às músicas cantadas por Davide “Damna” Moras (Elvenking), Picco (bandas de tributo Wrathchild e Seventhone) nas guitarras e Lancs (The Lotus, P-TSD) aos comandos da percussão, apresenta no próximo dia 15 o seu novo trabalho “See You In The Dark Side”. Este novo registo conta com 11 novos temas de hard rock/metal imbuídos do espírito retro de bandas seminais como Mötley Crue, Crazy Lixx ou Def Leppard (onde não falta a tradicional balada rock, aqui na forma de “Withered In Venice”), juntando ainda outras influências que estão na génese destes músicos (“I Wanna Swing Like Peter Parker”, para além do trocadilho do título, tem uma passagem swing jazz que nos remete para os clubes nocturnos na década de 50), capazes de nos pôr todos a dançar ao ritmo contagiante das melodias cheias de ganchos apelativos e com uma vocalização característica, fruto do timbre vocal único de Davide.
Muitas vezes manter as coisas simples revela-se a melhor opção e isso foi o que os Hell In The Club fizeram, criando um álbum homogéneo apesar de díspar nas suas influências e apelativo ao ouvinte com temas orelhudos e facilmente assimiláveis. Sem soar datado, “See You In The Dark Side” inspira-se nos clássicos para chegar ao ouvinte de forma sorrateira, agarrando-nos a cada acorde.

The Italian quartet relies on Secret Sphere’s bassist Andrea Buratto to give body to the musics sang by “Damna” Moras (Elvenking), Picco (tribute bands Wrathchild and Seventhone) on the guitars and Lancs (The Lotus, P-TSD) controlling the percussion, releases next September 15th his new work “See You In The Dark Side”. The new record has 11 new hard rock/metal tracks imbued by the retro spirit of seminal bands such as Mötley Crue, Crazy Lixx or Def Leppard (where’s even the traditional rock ballad, here in the form of “Withered In Venice”), mixing also other influences that are in the genesis of these musicians (“I Wanna Swing Like Peter Parker”, besides the pun in the title, has a swing jazz passage that takes us back to 1950’s night clubs), capable of putting us all to dance at the frenzy rhythm of those melodies full of catchy hooks and with characteristic vocals that result from Davide’s unique vocal timbre.
Many times keeping it simple reveals the best option and that’s what Hell In The Club did, creating an homogeneous album although unequal in its influences and appealing to the listener with catchy and easily absorbable songs. Without sounding outdated, “See You In The Dark Side” gets inspiration from the classics in order to sneaky get to the listener, grabbing us at each chord.
