No passado dia 30 de Setembro teve lugar o II Rocknradio Metal Fest; este evento, organizado pela RocknRadio e que contou novamente com a colaboração dos media Metal Em Portugal e Ode Lusitana, da loja Bunker Store e restaurante Endovélico, este ano levou até ao Hard Bar a sua boa disposição num convívio que cada vez mais se assume como um ponto de encontro entre amigos e conhecidos com o simples propósito de festejar ao som de boa música.
Este ano o início da animação ficou a cargo dos thrashers All Against, jovem coletivo que veio de Lisboa mostrar um thrash agressivo e com uma forte componente punk nas letras. Estão neste momento a preparar as gravações do sucessor do EP “Medusa”, quem sabe a sair ainda este ano. A festa continuou depois com o thrash tribal dos nortenhos Stubborm; dentro do seu género é uma das bandas que mais aprecio, não só pela presença em palco como pela sonoridade. Já há novos temas na forja e alguns foram mesmo apresentados neste evento, pelo que se espera que não tarde o sucessor de “Luto E Terra”. A fechar a noite, o negro som oriundo das profundezas que nos chegou pela voz de Muffy aos comandos dos Karbonsoul. Por entre vociferações já sabidas foram dadas a conhecer novas evocações blasfémicas, antevendo um próximo registo a sair brevemente.
Mais do que um evento, o Rocknradio Metal Fest aposta sobretudo em ser uma congregação em torno da música pesada, uma espécie de tertúlia metaleira da amizade. Agradeço ao João e à Emília por me convidarem a fazer parte deste projecto, ao Hard Bar pelas condições (e pela comida, sempre excelente) e à ADASMA pelas instalações. Até ao próximo encontro!

Last September 30th took place II Rocknradio Metal Fest; this event, organized by RocknRadio and once more had the collaboration of media Metal Em Portugal and Ode Lusitana, cd/merch store Bunker Store and Celtic restaurant Endovélico, this year took to Hard Bar his good mood in a conviviality that more and more assumes itself has a gathering point among of friends and acquaintances with the sole purpose of celebrating at the sound of good music.
This year the beginning of the entertainment was in charge of thrashers All Against, young band that came from Lisbon to show its aggressive thrash with a strong punk approach in the lyrics. They are now preparing the recordings for the successor of EP “Medusa”, maybe before the end of the year. The party went on with northern thrash tribalists Stubborm; among their style this is one of the bands I appreciate more, not only by their stage presence but the sonority as well. There are new songs in the making and some of them were played at this event, so we can expect a sophomore for the debut “Luto E Terra”. Closing the event the dark sound of the underground brought by Muffy’s voice commanding Karbonsoul. Among well known bellowings there were also shown new blasphemic evocations, foreseeing a new work to be release soon.

More than an event, Rocknradio Metal Fest focus mainly in being a congregation around heavy music, some sort of friendly metal gathering. I thank João and Emília for inviting me to be part of this project, Hard Bar for the facilities (and the food, excellent as always) and to ADASMA for the facilities. Until the next meeting!
