In Vein - Resurrect

O ano de 2015 marca o início para os In Vein, banda de death/groove oriunda de Vila das Aves. Ainda antes de lançarem o seu primeiro single já participaram num concurso de bandas, naqueles que seriam os primeiros passos em direcção ao seu primeiro trabalho intitulado “Resurrect”, lançado a 11 deste mês via Raising Legends.

Partindo da premissa de escrever músicas que se mantenham desprendidas de rótulos, apenas com a firme vontade de serem brutalmente agressivas e cheias de groove, surgiram as nove faixas que deram forma a “Resurrect”. Assentes numa estrutura death metal com fortes influências do hardcore, a banda acaba por divergir musicalmente por outros caminhos (pequeno solo thrash em “Tortured Pleasure”), mostrando também alguma mestria nos solos (“Slaves of God”) e capacidade para criarem riffs orelhudos e apelativos (“First Chapter”), não esquecendo as composições mais longas e trabalhadas (“Infinity Night”).

Esta é uma banda jovem mas que dá provas do seu valor; sem cair no facilitismo que por vezes assola as bandas levando-as a criar músicas de consumo fácil e imediato, revela grande margem para progredir. Para além de bom cartão-de-visita, este primeiro trabalho premeia o trabalho e dedicação nele depositados.

The year of 2015 marks the beginning for In Vein, a death/groove band originated from Vila das Aves. Even before releasing their first single they’ve participated in a bands contest, becoming the band’s first steps towards their debut album named “Resurrect”, released on March 11th under Raising Legends seal.

Starting from the premise to write songs that detach themselves of labeled genres, only with the strong will to be brutally aggressive and full of groove, came the nine tracks that gave form to “Resurrect”. Rooted in a death metal base with strong hardcore influences the band ends up diverging into different paths in musical terms (short thrash solo in “Tortured Pleasure”), showing also some skills in the solos (“Slaves of God”) and the capacity to create appealing and catchy riffs (“First Chapter”), not forgetting the longest elaborated tracks (“Infinity Night”).

Although a young band, show proof of their value; preventing that laid-back feeling that some bands tend to follow leading them to create immediate and easy listening songs, they show a good progression margin. Besides the good welcoming card, this debut rewards the commitment and dedication putted onto it.
