Depois da estreia em 2008 com “Violator” e da continuação em 2011 com “On Fire”, os Suecos Lechery regressam agora com o terceiro álbum “We Are All Born Evil”. Apesar de Martin Bengtsson e companhia virem de bandas com sonoridades variadas e díspares, as suas raízes estão bem alicerçadas no heavy metal tradicional e é em torno dele que compõem os seus trabalhos. Sem se manterem demasiado colados ao clássico acabam por incluir influências do hard rock e power metal; se bem que estes elementos se podem ouvir ao longo da sua discografia nota-se que os Lechery têm vindo a aumentar o peso das composições a cada novo álbum e em “We Are All Born Evil” aproximam-se bastante do metal teutónico.
No geral, o álbum está bem equilibrado com as composições maioritariamente assentes nas duas guitarras bem acompanhadas pela bateria; os riffs orelhudos e aqueles ganchos cativantes são uma constante bem como um lirismo que em algumas faixas mostra passagens e palavras de ordem que certamente serão repetidas em muitos concertos (por exemplo “Rule The World - brothers and sisters break the chains / shoulder to shoulder we rule the world” ou “Heavy Metal Invasion”).
Pegando no clássico, os Lechery moldaram-no à sua semelhança e foram evoluindo o seu som de forma cuidada, acrescentando peso na dose certa para o tornar “moderno” mas sem nunca comprometer a sua natureza em termos de melodia e energia. Ao terceiro trabalho, parecem ter atingido o patamar que certamente lhes trará um bom retorno, certos que o da aceitação do público está garantida.

After the debut in 2008 with “Violator” and the sophomore in 2011 with “On Fire”, Swedish Lechery are back now with the third album “We Are All Born Evil”. Although Martin Bengtsson and company come from bands with various and unequal sonorities, their roots are well based on traditional heavy metal and it’s around him they compose their songs. Without sticking too much to the classic they end up including other influences from hard rock and power metal; albeit all these elements can be listened along their discography we can notice that Lechery have been increasing their weight in the compositions at each new album and in “We Are All Born Evil” they’re getting closer to Teutonic metal.
In general, the album is well balanced with the compositions mainly based in the two guitars well accompanied by the drums; the catchy riffs and those charming hooks are a constant as well as the lyrics that in some tracks show passages and mottoes that will certainly be repeated in many concerts (for instance “Rule The World - brothers and sisters break the chains / shoulder to shoulder we rule the world” or “Heavy Metal Invasion”).
Picking the classic, Lechery shaped it at their likeness and evolved their sound in a careful way, adding weight in the right dose to make it “modern” but never without compromising its nature in terms of melody and energy. At the third work they seem to be hitting a stage that will certainly bring them a good payback, certain that general public acceptance is guaranteed.
