Meka Nism - The War Inside

Os norte-Americanos Meka Nism vão lançar em Maio o seu novo EP, “The War Inside”. Este terceiro registo vem na linha dos anteriores “The Shift” (2015) e “The Dance at the End of the World” (2013). These Years Of Silent Screams”.

North Americans Meka Nism will release next May their newest EP, “The War Inside”. This third record follows the line of the previous “The Shift” (2015) and “The Dance at the End of the World” (2013). As it´s perceivable in their songs it’s not easy to define their sound in a certain genre because they have multiple influences. For instance, in this new record we have songs focused in a more melodic approach and for Meka’s bigger vocal projection, both operatic and guttural (“The War Inside”), closing more to a darker goth dimension in “These Years Of Silent Screams”, reminding Lacuna Coil’s early years. “Trailblazer” is a track with several “moments”, alternating from more melodic paths to symphonic death but always leveled up regarding weight mainly because the strength of the paced guitars noticed through the entire track; “Arrows Of Alchemy” takes-back that gloomy aura before ending with “Black Sky”, a track that leans more into a metal ballad.

Meka Nism are one of those bands that are fun to listen to due to their musical quality and are not boring mainly because of their musical versatility and coverage. If we listen to all 3 EPs we can perceive they’re all different from each other and even within themselves; it’s that multifaceted sound that grants them relevance.
