Phantom Vision + Bizarra Locomotiva @ Hard Club

No passado dia 13 a locomotiva da Escumalha rumou a Norte para mais um concerto de promoção ao relançamento do “Álbum Negro”, agora acompanhado por uma edição em vinil e um livro fotobiográfico. A primeira paragem foi na estação da Fnac para uma conversa com os fãs sobre este relançamento, algumas curiosidades acerca da banda e sessão de autógrafos. Para além dos Bizarra Locomotiva esteve também presente Fernando Ribeiro dos Moonspell que nesta reedição emprestou a sua voz para o tema “Anjo Exilado”.

Após uma pausa para alimentar a fornalha, a locomotiva seguiu o seu caminho até ao Hard Club para o muito aguardado concerto. A primeira parte ficou a cabo dos Phantom Vision que animaram os presentes com o seu som alternativo numa espécie de revivalismo do rock gótico/punk da década de 90. Mas o público queria mesmo era ver a Locomotiva e mal Rui Sidónio entrou em palco ficou patente que este ia ser um concerto memorável tal foi a efusividade da receção. Já o próprio tinha dito à tarde que este seria provavelmente, de todas as viagens ao Hard Club, o concerto que teria mais público e a verdade é que todos compareceram em massa para celebrarem mais uma data importante na já longa viagem da Locomotiva. Tocando todos os temas do “Álbum Negro” aos quais juntaram outros sobejamente conhecidos, a viagem ia alegremente seguindo o seu caminho aqui e ali com a companhia de Fernando Ribeiro que por 4 vezes subiu ao palco para cantar os temas “Ergástulo”, “Escaravelho” e “O Anjo Exilado”, bem como uma cover para “Se Me Amas” dos Xutos & Pontapes, em jeito de tributo à banda (que nas palavras de Sidónio “...se não fossem eles não estávamos aqui hoje...”) e a Zé Pedro, recentemente falecido.

Após o término do concerto a viagem continuou até ao Heaven’s Bell para uma after-party com a presença das bandas. Para nós, a viagem terminou aqui; saímos neste apeadeiro novamente rendidos à exibição de uma banda que (e faço minhas as palavras de Fernando Ribeiro durante a tarde), ainda nos consegue surpreender a cada concerto, nunca sabemos o que vai sair dali. Last 13th Scum train headed North to another promotional concert for the re-release of “Álbum Negro”, now accompanied by a vinyl edition and a photo biography book. The first stop was at Fnac station for a chatting with the fans about this release, some curiosities relating the band and autograph session. Besides Bizarra Locomotiva also Moonspell's Fernando Ribeiro attended the meeting, who in this edition also contributed with his voice in the track “Anjo Exilado”.

After a break to feed the furnace, the train headed its way to Hard Club for the most expected gig. First part was in charge of Phantom Vision who cheered the crowd with their alternative sound in some sort of goth/punk rock revival of the 90’s. But what the crowd really wanted was to see Bizarra Locomotiva and as soon as Rui Sidónio stepped the stage it became clear that this was going to be a memorable concert such the effusive reception. He had already stated in the afternoon that, of all the voyages to Hard Club, this was probably going to be the most attended and the truth is all appeared massively to celebrate another important date in the long history of the Train travels. Playing all the songs from “Álbum Negro” to which they added some others well known, the trip was cheerfully heading its course here and there with the company of Fernando Ribeiro who headed the stage 4 times to sing the songs “Ergástulo”, “Escaravelho” and “O Anjo Exilado”, as well as a cover for Xutos & Pontapes “Se Me Amas”, in some sort of tribute to the band (which in the words of Sidónio “... if it weren’t for them we wouldn’t be here today…”) and to Zé Pedro, recently deceased.

After the end of the concert the journey headed to Heaven’s Bell for an after-party with the presence of the bands. For us, it ended here; we left this halt again surrendered to a performance of a band that (and I make mine the words of Fernando Ribeiro during the afternoon) can still amaze us at each concert, we never know what to expect. We just wish to thank Rastilho for the opportunity and Hard Club for the facilities given. Until the next journey.
