Projecto Sem Nome + Legacy Of Cynthia + Second Lash @ Cave 45

Last 10th of June Second Lash presented their debut “Tabula Rasa” at Cave 45; for the event they were accompanied by Projecto Sem Nome and Legacy Of Cynthia.

The opening act was carried out by Projecto Sem Nome who are still promoting their “Bulas Para Dedos e Coração”, work that mixes Siano’s words with the musicality idealized by Rui Cardoso and Paulo Pereira. This musical geniality easily influenced and pleased the crowd (many didn’t knew the band) mainly due to Siano’ spontaneity and the relaxation and commitment of the rest of the band. This band is very dear to me now only by their member’s friendship but also for the artistic genius that led to its creations, breaking musical barriers and combining written art with audio art.

With a well composed room time for me to finally be able to see Legacy Of Cynthia live. Those who keep track of my opinions know that I consider this to be one of the best bands in their genre, with a highly musical/lyric quality and for what I could perceive by some of the videos I was seeing with a very strong stage presence. My expectations weren’t defrauded; explosive concert full with vitality very well accompanied by the audience that sometimes sang along with the band. The room temperature rose fast such was the energy that emanated from stage and audience while songs taken from “Danse Macabre” were sang; the setlist also included some older ones like “Seven Sins” ending at the sound of “Lygophilic” in a duet with Miguel Inglês. Enormous band (and I’m not just referring to Peter Miller’s height) whose performance confirmed my idea on them: very good artistic quality band.

Time now for Second Lash to hit the stage and show “Tabula Rasa”’s 10 tracks. With a rock sonority characteristic of the last XXth century decade, transformed with a heavier cloak and soul/blues elements (pronounced by Evelyn’s strong and acute voice), the band was spreading groove and contagious energy before a crowd mainly composed by fans, family and friends. Cheerful concert and full of good mood ending a very fruitful night in terms of good music.

Three good bands in three different styles filled Cave 45 with groove and fun. I just wish to thank Cave 45 for the given facilities, André Matos of Rising Legends for the opportunity and the bands for the gigs, especially Legacy Of Cynthia. Until next one!
