Sabaton's "The Last Tour" @ Coliseu do Porto

A “The Last Tour” dos Suecos Sabaton passou pelo Coliseu do Porto e fizeram-se acompanhar pelos Alemães Accept e pelos conterrâneos Twilight Force.

A noite previa-se animada e os Twilight Force não quiseram defraudar ninguém, entrando em palco a todo o gás ao ritmo de “Battle of Arcane Might”. O set era curto por isso a irmandade de Elfos, Guerreiros e Magos contava míticas aventuras à velocidade furiosa imposta pelo ritmo das suas músicas. “Riders of the Dawn” e “The Power of the Ancient Force” foram dois dos momentos altos da sua actuação. Uma das melhores bandas da noite subia ao palco para mostrar porque são o porta-estandarte do metal teutônico. Ao som do toque da “debandada” (”Stampede”), os Accept deram início a um concerto que, apesar de curto, vai ficar na memória dos presentes que contou com temas clássicos como “Restless and Wild” ou “Princess of the Dawn” (cantada em uníssono com o público); mas o maior destaque vai para a recta final: “Metal Heart”, “Teutonic Terror” com um grande solo de Wolf Hoffmann e a terminar um solo de Christopher Williams a abrir caminho para “Balls to the Wall”. Final épico para um concerto não menos grandioso. Por fim a banda da noite, os Suecos Sabaton em digressão para promoção do seu último trabalho “The Last Stand”. Como seria de esperar o destaque seria para este último trabalho de onde tocaram entre outros “Sparta”, “Blood of Bannockburn”, “Winged Hussars”, mas também não faltaram os clássicos “Ghost Division”, “Carolus Rex” e “Resist and Bite”. Já é normal Joakim fazer algumas brincadeiras musicais em palco, tendo desta vez incluído também o mais recente membro da banda, Tommy Johansson. Como sempre, apresentou-se energético, alegre e bem-disposto e em constante interacção com o público que respondia sempre à altura. Obviamente eram a única banda com direito a encore, que cumpriram com “Primo Victoria”, “Shiroyama” e “To Hell and Back”.

Swedish Sabaton’s “The Last Tour” passed by Coliseu do Porto and they made himself accompanied by German Accept and fellow countrymen Twilight Force.

The night was expected to be lively so Twilight Force didn’t want to defraud anyone, entering on stage at full speed to the rhythm of “Battle of Arcane Might”. The set was short so the Brotherhood of Elves, Warriors and Mages kept telling mythical adventures at the furious speed imposed by the rhythms of their songs. “Riders of the Dawn” and “The Power of the Ancient Force” were two of the highlights of their performance. One of the best bands of the night rose on stage to show why they are the standard-bearer of Teutonic metal. At the sound of “Stampede”, Accept started a concert that despite being short will stay in all present’s memory which featured classic themes such as “Restless and Wild” or “Princess of the Dawn” (sung in unison with the audience); but the biggest highlight goes to the home stretch: “Metal Heart”, “Teutonic Terror” with a great solo from Wolf Hoffmann and finished with another one from Christopher Williams opening ways to “Balls to the Wall”. Epic final for a no less magnificent concert. For last the band of the night, Swedish Sabaton on tour to promote their latest album “The Last Stand”. As expected the focus would be on this last work from where they played “Sparta”, “Blood of Bannockburn”, “Winged Hussars”, but also the classics “Ghost Division”, “Carolus Rex” and “Resist and Bite”. It’s normal Joakim to do some musical jokes on stage, this time he also included the band’s most recent member, Tommy Johansson. Has always he was energetic, cheerful, in a good mood and constantly interacting with the audience who always responded back accordingly. They were obviously the only band entitled to an encore which they accomplished with “Primo Victoria”, “Shiroyama” and “To Hell and Back”.
