Os Nine O Nine deslocaram-se ao Hard Club, no Porto, para um concerto de apresentação de “The time Is Now”, trabalho de estreia da banda. Para ajudarem a preencher a noite convidaram os Shutter Down e Blame Zeus.
A abrir estiveram os rockers de Viseu que continuam a mostrar o seu (para já) único trabalho “Awake”, melhorando a cada concerto dado. É fácil ver mesmo os que (ainda) não os conhecem vibrarem com temas como “Awake”, “Gone” ou “The Rocky Song”. Começo de noite bastante animado para ajudar a combater a tempestade que se formava no exterior.
Tempo então para escutarmos o álbum de estreia dos Nino O Nine. Apesar de recente, a banda é composta por músicos experientes por isso a expectativa era alta para este concerto (da minha parte não tinha ouvido nada do álbum, para poder apreciar melhor o evento). E a verdade é que fiquei bastante agradado com o concerto e com o álbum (obviamente tocado na íntegra), cuja musicalidade foi certamente inspirada em bandas como Paradise Lost. Um trabalho de excelente qualidade para ser ouvido por todos, mesmo que por instantes soe estranho ao ouvido; primeiro estranha-se, depois entranha-se.

Os Portuenses Blame Zeus fizeram o papel de cicerones neste evento. Uma banda já com créditos firmados na cena Nacional e que paulatinamente vão ganhando a merecida projeção lá fora, deram um concerto que mostrou temas retirados dos seus 2 álbuns, dando continuidade à energia deixada pelos Shutter Down.
Tempo então para escutarmos o álbum de estreia dos Nino O Nine. Apesar de recente, a banda é composta por músicos experientes por isso a expectativa era alta para este concerto (da minha parte não tinha ouvido nada do álbum, para poder apreciar melhor o evento). E a verdade é que fiquei bastante agradado com o concerto e com o álbum (obviamente tocado na íntegra), cuja musicalidade foi certamente inspirada em bandas como Paradise Lost. Um trabalho de excelente qualidade para ser ouvido por todos, mesmo que por instantes soe estranho ao ouvido; primeiro estranha-se, depois entranha-se.
Com estes músicos em palco a noite tinha tudo para ser excelente, só não o foi devido ao pouco público presente. As bandas mereciam mais mas nem por isso a entrega foi menor. Um agradecimento especial ao André Matos da Raising Legends, ao Hard Club pelas facilidades e às 3 bandas pelos concertos/convívio.

Nine O Nine band went to Hard Club, in Oporto, for a live presentation of their debut album “The time Is Now”. To help them complete the night they invited Shutter Down and Blame Zeus.
Opening were Viseu rockers that keep on showing their (for now) only album “Awake”, getting better at each gig. It’s easy to see even the ones that don’t (yet) know them cheering with songs like “Awake”, “Gone” or “The Rocky Song”. Beginning of evening quite cheerful to help fight the storm that was starting on the outside.
Oporto naturals Blame Zeus play the role of cicerones for this event. A band with given credits in the Portuguese scene and that gradually are gaining the deserved reputation abroad, gave a concert with songs taken from both their albums, giving continuity to the energy left by Shutter Down.
Time now to listen Nine O Nine’s debut album. Although recent the band has very experienced members so for me the expectations were high for this concert (on my behalf I hadn’t heard nothing from this album so I could better appreciate the event). And the truth is I got very pleased with the gig and the album (obviously played entirely), whose musicality was certainly inspired in bands such as Paradise Lost. A work of remarkable quality to be listened by all, even if for a second it may sound strange to the ear; strange at first, entrenched afterwards.

With these musicians on stage the night had everything needed to be excellent, wasn’t for the reduced number of people attending the gig. The bands deserved more but nevertheless they gave it all. A special thank you to André Matos from Rising Legends, to Hard Club for the facilities given and the bands for the concerts/conviviality.
