Tarot Of The Bohemians release party

Os Heavenwood deram ontem o concerto de apresentação do novo trabalho “The Tarot Of The Bohemians” no Hard Club, Porto.

Yesterday Heavenwood gave a concert in Hard Club, Oporto, to present their newest album “The Tarot Of The Bohemians”. To accompany them invited Gates Of Hell, Blame Zeus and The Temple.

The kick start was given by Gates Of Hell with their crosshover death/thrash/hadcore. We all know it’s not easy for first bands to cheer up the (usually) less public, albeit yesterday there was already a considerable amount of people in the precinct. Nevertheless they put on a good show, full of energy and groove as the fans well know. As they were moving along the concert the first headbangers were appearing…

Next played rockers Blame Zeus. This was a special concert for the band because it would be the last“Identity”. There was even time to dedicate the song “Incarnate” to a birthday person.
one for guitarists Vitor Braga and André Ribeiro and for bassist Manuel Bernardo. This doesn’t mean the end of the band even because they are already working on the songs for a sophomore album and soon they will announce the new band members. Joyful and relaxed concert in the most likely one dedicated to the debut

One of the most experienced bands came in at full speed, rapidly heating (more) the room and causing the first adrenaline discharges thanks to their djent/nu metal crossover based on punk/hardcore. The The Temple played songs from their 3 albums (from where I highlight the great cover for Mão Morta’s “Budapeste”). Exhausting (in a good way) where no one could stand still; great performance.

Time now for the band of the night, Heavenwood. Before anything else I would like to point out the several generations of fans there, with some of the “old school” accompanied by their kids, that way passing along a token of quality. It is good to see young generations embracing music other than the one being imposed to us by the media. Maybe because of that the band didn’t just “poured” the new tracks; instead, they turned this gig into a celebration of their musical career where they played old songs from “Swallow”, “Masterpiece” and “Redemption”. All levels magnificent concert: duration, commitment and retribution from the audience.

This was another great musical night in the Invicta; on stage different generations and styles gathered, with the single purpose of pleasing the ones who went to listen to them.

A special thank you to Ricardo Dias (Heavenwood) and André Matos (Raising Legends); also thank you to Hard Club for the hospitality. Until next time.
