TheClosedCircle - Love, Shine & Die

Originating from the historical city of Cartagena the Spanish quartet TheClosedCircle plays an appealing rock predominantly indie/folk. It’s just on May 6th that his debut “Love, Shine & Die” will premiere and it will be available through Finnish Inverse Records.

The band’s theme is definitely love; in the promo that I received they are referred as having similar style as Finnish Him. However, although the lyrics theme is the same each band used different approaches. TheClosedCircle’s music derives from that sad feeling of lost, opting for a style more into “teen rock”, where the priority goes to the sound of the guitars. Along the 11 tracks the sound keeps practically constant, highlighting some interchanges as the southern rock rhythm in “My Life After You” (my favorite song), the electro tune in “Be My Faith” or the solo guitar in “A Quiet Man”. Other detail that pleased me was how the vocalist sounded, whose accent gives him a distinct touch.

Without sounding too soft and apparently without pretending to go much beyond metal, “Love, Shine & Die” sounds as a tempting proposal, filled with good riffs and appealing melodies. Good sound to create atmosphere in the next Summer parties.
